Meet the person behind the paws
Hi, I'm Rosa 👋
I'm the founder and owner of Ruff Stuff Dog Care. From a young age, I've felt a strong connection to animals — especially dogs and horses. I'm passionate about their lifestyles and wellbeing.
I'm canine first aid trained and have helped with the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs whenever possible. Over the years, I've worked with a huge variety of breeds — from Pomeranian puppies through to hyper Huskies.
My Journey
Taking the Leap
After working in recruitment for several years with an idea burning in my mind, I decided to take the scary leap and open my own dog daycare premises.
My focus was simple: promote pack socialisation and give dogs ample exercise freely in a safe, controlled environment.
Growing the Dream
I rented a beautiful farm space and built up facilities and a team over time. Within two years, we were a team of 7 caring for up to 30 dogs per day.
It was a fantastic, enriching environment for the dogs — everything I had previously imagined creating.
A New Chapter
Unfortunately, COVID brought that chapter to an end. But my passion didn't stop.
I've adapted how I work so that I can still offer fantastic care — but to a smaller number of dogs, with even more personal attention.
The Future
While I hope to find suitable premises again soon, I'm proud of the personal, flexible service I now offer.
